Dear Latifa,
Thank you for the call last week.
As discussed, please see attached screenshots from the conversation with your employee Vineet Dev Giri. My daughter took these screenshots while having access to my business phone in order to show them to my husband. In the aftermath I deleted all conversation with Veneet Dev Giri from my phone. You can imagine that my marital situation is currently difficult to say the least.
I met Giri during TPM conference 2023 where I was a panel speaker and we kept in touch sporadically via WhatsApp. For me it was always intended to be solemnly professional as I am used to with other business leaders in our industry.
In June 2024, Giri approached me and offered to meet me in Hamburg as he was there for work. I intended to discuss business matters with him. In Hamburg, we met in his hotel to go to a restaurant. I am not used to drinking Alcohol because of a medication I must take. The evening ended in his hotel room, which I regret very much. With hindsight it appears to me that I was a victim of an arranged situation for adultery. Unfortunately Giri lied to you about my marital situation, he was aware of me being happily married and having 4 kids and my family’s move to the US. I am also afraid that he might have taken pictures of me in a helpless state.
I am afraid of meeting Giri again and unable to attend any further conferences where he is present: I explained this situation to Xeneta/ Eloisa Tovee and she also talked to your company making sure Giri would not be allowed to attend. After the Xeneta Summit last week I am invited as a speaker to next TPM, Breakbulk and Manifest conferences. I find myself in a situation where I have to discuss this delicate matter with the respective organizers. Although the reactions of the organizers are always very supportive you might imagine how I feel personally about having to bring the Hamburg situation forward again and again. While I’m not accusing Giri of outright assault it is undoubtedly clear that there cannot be consent of any kind under influence.
As discussed, our industry should be a safe place for women of any age and seniority level.
